Arrhythmia Monitor Technician
Arrhythmia Monitor Technician is a good compliment skill for CNAs, Phlebotomists, LPNs, and RNs.
In this 36 hour program you will learn the basic anatomy of the heart and interrupting rhythms and receive certification from American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR. Upon successful completion of the class, students will be able to work on a cardiac floor of hospitals.

Dialysis is designed to teach the basics of renal failure and renal replacement therapies including hemodialysis for patients on dialysis. You will learn the integral role that the Dialysis Technician plays in the everyday care of the dialysis patient, how to perform labs, draw blood, and operate kidney dialysis machines. Experience an externship in a dialysis clinic at the completion of the program.
Become a certified phlebotomist under the
National ASCP Guidelines through 65 hours of classroom/lab
experience and 100-200 hours off-site at a clinical facility. You will be
trained to collect and type blood samples, screen patients for blood
banks, medical offices and hospitals. This course will teach you how to
obtain blood specimens accurately and comfortably using the proper
technique, how to work well under pressure, communicate with patients,
and become a vital member of the healthcare team. Clinical time is

EKG/Arrhythmia Monitor Technician
This course prepares students to function as EKG Technicians as well as Arrhythmia Monitor Technicians and to take the National Healthcare Association (NHA) exam for the Electrocardiogram (ECG) Technician.
This comprehensive 93-hour EKG Technician Certification Program consists of learning three skills, EKG Monitor, Arrhythmia Monitor and Certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR training for Healthcare Providers.
The course will include important practice and background information on the anatomy of the heart, physiology, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics and legal aspects of patient contact, laboratory assisting, electrocardiography, stress tests, holter monitors and arrhythmias. Additionally, students will practice with equipment and perform hands-on labs on live student patients, including the proper use and function of the EKG machine and other clinical practices. EMT - Emergency Medical Technician
Learn the exciting career of an Emergency Medical
Technician in this SC DHEC approved online program. EMTs serve as a
vital link in the chain of the health care team. This SC DHEC approved
course is designed to instruct students to the level of the South
Carolina Emergency Medical Technician. It is recognized that the
majority of pre-hospital emergency medical care will be provided by the
EMT.
This 204 hour hybrid course (online learning and hands-on lab practices) includes all the skills necessary for students to provide emergency medical care under the SC DHEC guidelines. This will enable students to find employment with emergency services in South Carolina.
This
hybrid online EMT course requires 12 hours of weekly online learning
and 10 Saturdays of hands-on skills practice sessions. Students are
required to have access to a working computer with MS Office suite and
Internet access. The online learning system used is
a web-based learning system available to anyone with internet access.
Students MUST be prepared to give the time and energy to this hybrid course by planning your online learning time, attending the hands-on skills practice sessions and attending the ride-along experiences.

This training program prepares students to work in hospital or medical offices to compile, process and maintain medical records and patient information, work with administrative, ethical, legal, HIPAA regulatory requirements of the healthcare system and includes medical terminology, electronic medical records and health insurance.
